OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT PENGURUSAN KESELAMATAN DAN KESIHATAN PEKERJAAN
Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (OSHMS) have proposed methods to increase organisational efficiency which can be used in any field of work, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. Nevertheless, studies show that SMEs are having difficulties in practicing this management system due to several barriers. Answer the following questions: a) Based on literature search from previous studies, discuss FIVE existing barriers to the management of occupational health and safety in SMEs. b) Explain FIVE benefits gained from implementing the OSHMS at the workplace. c) Proposed best methods to improve OSHMS implementation among SMEs. d) Elaborate on the roles of employer’s involvement in inculcating the safety culture at the workplace.
