Select one local or foreign manufacturer that operates and owns a factory in Malaysia (electronics, transportation, pharmaceutical, F&B, chemical, plastic, metal, textile, etc.). Prepare a report on how productivity improvement is carried out in that manufacturing company.

The following items must be included in your assignment:

Introduction of the selected company

Factors affecting productivity in the company in terms of:

a) Human resources;

b) Investment of capital and technology; and

c) Government rules.

Strategies to increase the company’s productivity in terms of:

a) Design of products or systems;

b) Machinery and equipment;

c) Skills and efficiency of workers; and

d) Production capacity.

Decision-making can be simple or complex. As a result, it's critical that we understand a few decision-making skills. There are several types of models used in business, especially in the manufacturing industry. This includes physical model, schematic model and mathematical model.

Your assignment must mention the same company that you chose in Question 1 and must contain the following information:

i. Review the importance of decision-making in the manufacturing company.

ii. Identify and select a problem in the company’s workplace and apply the seven steps in analysing business problems.

iii. Develop a proposal explaining how they can make better decisions for the company. Choose one model for your proposal, either a physical model, a schematic model, or a mathematical model. Include examples that occur in the company’s workplace.

iv. Conclusion
