BAHAGIAN I (90%) TUJUAN Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk membina keupayaan pelajar menyediakan satu cadangan penyelidikan saintifik.   Tugasan ini mengandungi dua tugas.   Tugasan 1 direka bentuk untuk membina keupayaan pelajar untuk menulis satu pernyataan masalah berdasarkan fakta-fakta dan angka-angka sebenar mengenai satu topik penyelidikan spesifik.   Berdasarkan topik penyelidikan dan pernyataan masalah tersebut, pelajar akan belajar membentuk persoalan-persoalan dan objektif-objektif kajian.   Tugasan 2 direka bentuk untuk membina keupayaan pelajar untuk menulis satu ulasan karya mengenai topik penyelidikan yang dipilih dan membentuk kerangka konseptual, dan akhir sekali menulis kaedah penyelidikan.   Gabungan dua tugas ini akan menghasilkan satu cadangan penyelidikan yang baik.
